Despite the heat and my dragging summer classes, there are still tons of reasons why I've enjoyed my summer vacation.

I've finished four novels!  Ricky Lee's "Si Amapola sa 65 na Kabanata", Carlos Ruiz Zafon's "The Shadow of the Wind", John Green's "Looking for Alaska" and Jay Asher's "Thirteen Reasons Why"

Haj borrowed my copy of Zafon's

The following day, the zombies invade Alabang Town Center for lunch and have some fun at Timezone! Epic weekend with them was Epic!

And Lastly, just last friday, my dear friend Narci invited us out for dinner, his treat @ California Pizza Kitchen and Conti's Bakeshop at TriNoma with Lady and Haj. :)

THREE MORE WEEKS BEFORE SCHOOL STARTS AGAIN. Now, I'm an incoming Journalism junior and all things seems so serious and stressful starting June. We can do this, I can do this!

We pulled it off.

It took the CJW SC 2012 team a year to prepare and make this happen. And it did, with flying colors. UP Journalism Club's flagship activity just took a step on a higher level.

Last March 29-April 3, 30 (+) people made history. With almost 250 participants, 14 clashing news rooms, a big time venue and a bunch of power speakers, the FIRST Campus Journalism Workshop Summer Camp is truly a success.

With the theme: Project InformNation: troubleshooting issues of campus journalism, the team added a futuristic touch complete with futuristic characters and vocabulary.

Students and School paper advisers from different schools from Metro Manila (and beyond) grasped a clearer view of journalism fit for future writers and media practitioners through various workshops, talks, games and summits. Also, a call for the cease of media killings were raised through a candle lighting ceremony.

For the persons behind the event and the camp participants, F I V E days was not enough to enlighten and inspire these young minds about the real essence of Journalism. But, Collapsar for now, dear Asthers! Til the next mission to save Neanism!

"Refuse to believe that there are things you

cannot do."

Well, I chose that because towards the end of January and the early days of February, I did things I thought I CAN'T and I WON'T do.

I can't help but to be a little bit nostalgic now that it came down to my senses that today, we're down to the last day of 2011. :):
And since it's just a day til we flip our calendar to a new year, I think I'm in the mood to list down my new year's resolution. But wait, I don't feel like calling it resolution anymore because all of those I've listed from the past years were not strictly observed and followed and I no longer have the trust to myself to rigorously follow these 'resolutions' I'd like to call the following as steers that would plot my life for the next year. So, let's start the countdown!

1. I WILL GO ON A DIET WHATEVER HAPPENS.
*exclusion: Birthday parties, familial gatherings and celebrations, Christmas and other holidays.
2. I WILL GET MYSELF INDULGED IN SPORTS.
3. I WILL TAKE CARE OF MYSELF MORE.
4. BE MORE PATIENT, UNDERSTANDING AND BE LESS EXASPERATED, ASSUMING AND SELFISH.
*In ALL aspects and to all people.
5. I WILL CLEAN OUR HOUSE EVERY SATURDAY MORNING.
6. LET ACADS BE THE NUMBER ONE PRIORITY.
7. HAVE A MORE OPEN RELATIONSHIP WITH MY FAMILY.
8. HAVE A CLOSER RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD.
9. I WILL NOT BE LAZY.
10. I WILL TRY MY BEST TO FOLLOW THESE GUIDELINES. PROMISE.
